Installing PEX Piping
1. First the length of PEX Piping must be measured according to the exact requirement and then cut it to equal length tubes. A tube cutter is used to effectively cut the pipe in to pieces without sticking out the edges.
2. After cutting the pipe in to required pieces, insert a crimp ring of copper to the pipe. After inserting the crimp ring PEX tubing must be inserted in to the fitting but it should be in such a way that bottoms of the tubing must be out at fitting shoulder.
3. This is the time to shift crimp ring of copper upwards allowing a distance between 0.125 to 0.25 inches from cylinder.
4. Ring crimper must be held at 90 degrees angle and bent till it is closed up with crimp of copper.
5. Check the tolerance level that is acceptable with the help of tool called GO-No-go of plumbing. The work piece that qualifies the test is indicated as “GO” whereas “No-go” is indicated if it does not pass the test.
6. The installation must be done in such a way that contraction of few inches can be managed through effective accommodation.
